<p>Welcome to Dive Locator, your premier dive site locator and dive conditions iPhone application. Dive Locator provides access to over 5,200 dive site locations (and counting). Dive Locator grows as divers share dive locations and experiences! Fellow divers can then benefit from each other’s experiences from around the world!</p>
<p>Dive Locator provides access to dive site locations, along with visual location details via Google Maps. Additionally, Dive Locator provides current conditions including weather, temperature, humidity, winds, barometer, as well as a multiple day tide tables where available. No matter where your travels take you, Dive Locator can help get you there!</p>

<p>Welcome to Dive Locator, your premier dive site locator and dive conditions iPhone application. Dive Locator grows as divers share dive locations and experiences! Fellow divers can then benefit from each other’s experiences from around the world!</p>
<p>Dive Locator provides access to dive site locations, along with visual location details via Google Maps. <p><strong>To locate a Dive Site:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Select Dive Sites from the bottom tool bar.</li>
<li>Select the country/region to view. For example, select &#8220;Netherlands Antilles&#8221;.</li>
<li>Select the territory if applicable. For example, select &#8220;Bonaire&#8221;.</li>
<li>Select the city. Scroll up/down to view cities in alphabetical order.</li>
<li>Select the dive site name. For example, select &#8220;Hilma Hooker (wreck)&#8221;.</li>
<li>Select Site Map to view the dive site location in Google Maps.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To Search for a Dive Site:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Select the Search (enter icon here) button from the bottom of the screen.</li>
<li>Enter 3 or more letters in the Site Search box.</li>
<li>The Search will return any Dive Site, City, State, or Country where the first 3 letters of the name match the search criteria entered.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To find Dive Sites Nearby your physical location:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Select the Nearby Me (enter icon here) button from the bottom of the screen.</li>
<li>If asked, select OK to allow Dive Locator to use your current location.</li>
<li>Use the Range button in the upper right corner to select the distance range from your location that Dive Sites should be displayed and then select Done.</li>
<li>The map will re-display to show Dive Sites within the Range selected.</li>
<li>You can now use either the map or the List button in the upper left corner to view individual Dive Site details.</li>
<li>To use the map view select a Dive Site pin (enter icon here) to view the Dive Site name and location.</li>
<li>Next select the arrow (enter icon here) to view the site details.</li>
<li>Select the range button from the upper left corner, or select the Nearby button from the bottom of the screen to return to the map view.</li>
<li>To use the List view, select the List button from the upper left to view the Dive Site name and location.</li>
<li>Select any Dive Site name to view the site details.</li>
<li>Select the range button from the upper left corner, or select the Nearby button from the bottom of the screen to return to the map view.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To find Dive Sites Nearby a specific Dive Site location:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Navigate to the Dive Site Information display.</li>
<li>Select the Nearby Sites option from the menu.</li>
<li>The map will re-display to show Nearby Dive Sites for this Dive Site.</li>
<li>Select a Dive Site pin (enter icon here) to view the Nearby Dive Site Information page.</li>
<li>Select the range button from the upper left corner, or select the Nearby button from the bottom of the screen to return to the map view.</li>
<li>Select the Dive Site name from the upper left corner to return to the Dive Site Information page.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To view Conditions:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Select Conditions from the bottom tool bar.</li>
<li>Select the country/region to view. For example, select &#8220;United States of America&#8221;.</li>
<li>Select the territory if applicable.</li>
<li>Select the city. Scroll up/down to view cities in alphabetical order. For example, select &#8220;Monterey&#8221; under the California heading.</li>
<li>Select Tides to view the current and following day tides. Scroll up/down to view daily details.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To view Dive Site Photos:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Navigate to the Dive Site Information display.</li>
<li>Select the Photos button to view photos.</li>
<li>Select the Dive Site name from the upper left corner to return to the Dive Site Information page.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To add a Dive Site Photo:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Navigate to the Dive Site Information display.</li>
<li>Select the Add Photo button.</li>
<li>Select the option to either Use Camera or Use Existing Photo.</li>
<li>Select Use Camera to launch the camera application.</li>
<li>*Take a photo of the location and select Use to upload the image to the database.
<ul>
<li>Select Use Existing Photo to browse photos in the iPhone Camera Roll.</li>
<li>Select a photo to upload the image to the database.</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To view Dive Site Comments:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Navigate to the Dive Site Information display.</li>
<li>Select the Comments button.</li>
<li>Scroll up/down to view comments about the Dive Site.</li>
<li>Select the Dive Site name from the upper left corner to return to the Dive Site Information page.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To add a Dive Site Comment:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Navigate to the Dive Site Information display.</li>
<li>Select the Comments button.</li>
<li>Select Add Comment or Be The First To Comment if no comments exist for the Dive Site.</li>
<li>Tap in the comment field to activate the keypad to enter in your comment and then select Send.</li>
<li>Select Yes to submit comment or No to edit comment before submitting.</li>
<li>Select the Dive Site name from the upper left corner to return to the Dive Site Information page.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To submit New Site:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Select the plus (+) sign button on the upper right hand side of the main dive sites screen.</li>
<li>Fill in all information that is pertinent to the site</li>
<li>Select Use Current Location to auto-populate the Latitude and Longitude of the dive site. Use this only when submitting a new Dive Site when physically at the Dive Site location.</li>
<li>Touch the &#8216;Submit&#8217; button to send the information to Dive Locator</li>
<li>We will review the data and verify the site.</li>
<li>Upon verification, we will add it to the database for the next update</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To Download New Dive Sites:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Select Dive Sites from the bottom tool bar.</li>
<li>Navigate to the Countries display (if not already there).</li>
<li>Select the Update (enter icon here) button from the upper left corner.</li>
<li>The local database will now be updated with any new Dive Sites that are pending a new release.</li>
<li>Select OK after reviewing the number of new sites downloaded.</li>
<li>Note: Any Dive Site updates will remain in effect in the local database until the next iTunes update when they become part of the official product database.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>To modify personal Settings:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Select the Settings (enter icon here) button from the bottom of the screen.</li>
<li>Enter in your Name, Alias, and/or Email then select Done.</li>
<li>Dive Locator will now auto-populate your Name, Alias and/or Email when needed when submitting new Dive Sites, Photos, Comments, etc.</li>
</ul>
